Christmas

We had a great Christmas! Jeff had to work on Christmas Eve and the morning of Christmas Day, but he was home just in time to go to Grandma Pat and Grandpa Jack's for a great Christmas meal! We got to open presents and Jackson got a lot of fun toys! We hurried home to do our little family Christmas. Jackson got a guitar, vacuum cleaner, movies, clothes, coloring stuff and many more things. We later went over to the Brandt's for homemade Pizza and some Wii games. We had a blast! We have such great friends and love spending time with others around the holidays it reminds us how lucky we are to have the Friends we have. I am officially in love with the Wii Fit! I have to get me one. Thanks Steph and Jeremy for introducing us to this totally addicting game! :)

I am hoping to relax for the next couple of days. Jackson has been a real big stinker and with Jeff working it will be real interesting to see how we will make it with out daycare and mommy working. If anyone has any suggestions on how to be a stay at home mother for the next couple of days, let me know. Ha ha ha!

Jackson

Jackson got a vaccum for Christmas! He loves it!
He loved opening all his presents but got really distracted once one was open, he wanted to play with every toy right away.

Jackson opening his Christmas stocking!

Jackson and his friend Brendan (our friends Kris and John's son)!

Jackson has a cheese beard! Say Cheese!!!

Our little Christmas tree!

I thought this was a cool shot of him holding the guitar.

Jackson loves to play Guitar Hero with Mommy!

I set Jackson on the counter to take his diaper off before his bath and he crawled in the sink. He loved it!

What's in a name

Jackson learned how to say his name the other day. I got it on video! It is so cute! I am sure he was probably thinking we are crazy having him say it over and over and over again.

When Jeff and I were trying to figure out what to name our baby boy we threw around a few boy names and we were set on Gavin, but then I realized one of his co-workers had a son named Gavin and I couldn't have that. I always loved the name Jackson and thought I would call him Jack, but once he was born and we had called him Jackson while in my tummy I just couldn't call him Jack. Every once in a while someone will call him Jack and I just don't register that they are talking about Jackson.

I can't imagine Jackson being named Gavin it just doesn't fit. Isn't that funny. I guess when you call someone by a name for so long it just sticks.

Weather

So the weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful, since there's no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let is snow!! That is how some of you might feel the next couple of months. I on the other hand have to run errands, visit friends, walk the dog (the one that is visiting for the next 2 weeks) and the main one WORK. I would really like to vent about how Minnesotans DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE especially when there is ice or even just a little snow on the ground. It all started last Tuesday you all probably remember that frightful day. I left work at 4:00pm and did not get home until 6:45pm. Some of you might think that would be a nice break away from the headache of screaming children or work or what have you but not for me. Oh no, I had a screaming child sitting right behind me and scream did he ever, the whole way. I would have to hold his hand just to get him to calm down. This was a sight to see, one hand on the wheel and one arm/hand stretched back holding my screaming son's hand. It was great (sarcastically speaking).

We will be borrowing Grandma and Grandpa's portable DVD player to keep our son from freaking out on long trips to and from daycare/work.

That's all on the weather for now. I have so much more to complain about so I am sure you will see more on this subject soon.

Peace
