Pumpkin Carving Time!!

So it's been quite some time since I have blogged, so sorry for all the regulars, I just can't keep up.

Last night we decided to carve our pumpkin! I feel like this year we just didn't get out to the fun places like a pumpkin patch or apple orchard...poor Jackson. The weather has just been terrible on the weekends :(

Jackson wasn't too thrilled with sitting in his chair he had to be right in there, but never wanted to touch it...icky, he said!

As you can tell from his expression in this picture he wasn't too excited about the innards.

He liked to point at it and laugh a lot...

The final product...Jackson finally touched it! He was so scared of it. Weird!

Our little pumpkins!!

Happy Halloween everyone!!

photo update

Thought I should post some pictures since it's been a while!

Jackson loves to blow out candles! Just look at the happiness on his face!

He got a tricycle for his birthday from us! He loves it!

I think he looks so old in this picture...my baby is growing up so fast!

We went to St. Michael's fun days and they had a petting zoo there, Jackson had a blast with all the fun animals.

We helped some friends move this last weekend and Jackson's friend Ilsa had a pink soccer ball that he would not put down...on the way over to their new house Jackson fell asleep in the car like this! Too cute!

Jackson singing...or not!

Jackson has been watching videos on Youtube and one that he really likes is "Rain Rain Go Away" however, the only part of the song he knows is "Go away" so it sounds like he is just saying that over and over, but really its the song!

Complete with him putting the lens cap back on my camera! Too funny!

4th of July!!

We went to Sand Creek park for the fireworks display, they were great! Too many people, but they were really neat! Jackson made it through about the first 10 fireworks and then fell asleep...not sure how anyone could sleep through the really loud ones, but he did.

One of the many pretty fireworks!

Our little family! So sweet!

On Sunday we went over to Steph and Jer's for a fun time in the baby pool! Jackson had a blast swimming and going down the slide!

Emily, Jackson and Bri...Bri giving Jackson a kiss!

The best picture of all three looking up. Too cute!

Last Friday I had the day off work and Steph took me golfing for the first time! I had a blast, she's a great teacher! I can't wait to go again! Now if I could just get Jeff to buy me some clubs!

I'm a big kid now!!

On Thursday night after my softball game we decided to change Jackson's crib into a toddler bed. The first couple of nights have been pretty rough, but (the 4th night in his bed) he slept the whole night! Here are some pictures of the process...

Jackson thinks he is helping, but really just getting in the way!

So we found something else to occupy the time...a video on youtube!

Yay, all done!! His favorite part of having a big boy bed is jumping on and off!

Look at that face, he is so happy!

Time to get some sleep (yeah right)!

Five on Friday

1. The other night Jeff, Jackson and I went outside to play with Jackson's new cozy coupe car!! I had gone out the garage and Jeff followed and shut the garage door behind him. No big deal the front door was open, or at least we thought it was open. When I got home from work and brought Jackson inside I locked the screen door so he wouldn't go outside, I forgot to unlock it before going upstairs. If you know Jeff he is obsessed about locking and closing doors. Jeff immediately went into panic mode and proceeded to climb on the grill, hold onto the shingles and then stand on my shoulders in order to get a grip on the deck. He hoisted himself up, climbed over the railing and onto the deck. Luckily the deck door was open otherwise we would have been in trouble. Once we got the door open we went back inside...all that for being outside for less than 10 minutes.

2. We had a big event for work last night...our 4th annual Summer Celebration! Every year we have a raffle with great prizes and its held in Northeast Minneapolis. For the last 3 years that I have been employed at PRI I have been in charge of money collecting portion of the raffle. No big deal you would think...except we have some real interesting people that work for PRI and have no idea how to be organized. For the last month I have been entering the money with the corresponding tickets into a spreadsheet. Our grand total was $10,880.00!! It was great to see the money come in and we exceeded our goal this year!!

3. Jackson has been really loving the outside weather and will constantly ask to go outside and ride in his new car (cozy coupe). I have to admit I am enjoying the outside weather as well. Funny side note, it was raining on Tuesday night and Jackson wanted to go outside in the rain, so we undressed him and let him out on the deck...it was hilarious! I have pictures...I will post them later.

4. Having a hard time thinking of things to say on my blog lately...so you will probably see me post every other Friday unless my life suddenly becomes more interesting.

5. It's Friday!! Yay!! Looking forward to Jeff's nephew Ryan's graduation open house on Saturday and pricing clothes for a garage sale on Wednesday-Friday next week. Should be a pretty good weekend.
